5 good reasons to develop your tennis club's image and visibility

Vital for some, a real objective for others, or sometimes just a passion, there are plenty of (good) reasons to develop the image of your tennis club. In this article, we list them for you, and give you a few original ideas to help your club become one of the friendliest and most dynamic in your region. Conviviality guaranteed!

Building member loyalty and conviviality
"How many members have you had this year? Whether you're a "small", "big" or "medium-sized" club, the number of members is often an important and closely monitored indicator. Generally speaking, more members means more revenue, more events, more opportunities to play, more teams in team matches, etc.
So, yes, it's all about building loyalty. And what better way to do this than to feel that you belong to the same club, or even the same family? Of course, it won't do everything, but playing matches together in the same jersey, or wearing the same club-logo accessories, is bound to strengthen bonds on and off the court. Every year, more and more clubs are offering a t-shirt in the club colors as part of the membership package at the beginning of the year. A good idea, don't you think? All your players will be equipped in this way, it won't cost them anything extra, and they'll be proud to wear your colors at tournaments or even out on the town.Is a t-shirt too big an investment for your club, or have you already made one recently?
So vary the pleasures. For example, you could offer your members an anti-vibrator (always useful!!) featuring your club's logo... Between €1 and €3 each, depending on the size of the order... Nice, isn't it? And what's more, the conviviality effect is guaranteed ;)

Recruit new members and reach out to new enthusiasts
We've all said to ourselves at least once in our lives " that club looks nice ". Yes, you have... Dig a little deeper and remember why you said that to yourself. Well, probably for reasons close to what we said above: team spirit, solidarity, good atmosphere. I don't need to tell you much more than that, because it's obvious that visibility for your club will also help recruit new members. It's from this angle that some people rightly see spending on their club's "image" as an investment that can bring a real return, including in financial terms.

Finding additional income
The transition is made. A very important point: your club's finances. In tennis, too, even in an associative environment, money is often the sinews of war. Teaching staff to pay, equipment to buy, structures to maintain or finance: sources of expenditure are much quicker to find than income. This situation does not improve over time, since grants from local authorities and sponsors generally tend to decrease, while expenses are always present or even increasing (inflation of salaries, prices of licenses to be paid to the FFT...).
What to do in this context? Raise membership fees? Not too often. The second option is to diversify your sources of income! On the one hand, developing your image will make you sexier in the eyes of sponsors, and on the other, certain actions will earn you money directly...
-
Finding new volunteers
Many clubs are sounding the alarm about a " volunteer crisis ". As you've probably noticed, it's getting harder and harder to find volunteers to put in a little time for the club. And yet, there's often plenty to do: maintenance, supervising children, organizing evenings or the annual tournament, etc.
Here too, your club's image is extremely important. On the one hand, the more "dynamic" your club's image is... or even simply your club's image, the more it will attract people, and the more they will want to get involved. Logical, isn't it? So yes, all these ways of developing your branding will probably attract new volunteers. Want to go further? Then we've got some very concrete ideas: offer them little gifts once in a while: a "staff" T-shirt dedicated to the members of the board or management team, with your club's logo on it. A personalized canvas of the coaching team in the club house, etc...

Simply indulge yourself
Not much more explanation is needed. As we've said on several occasions, running a tennis club takes time, and there's usually little in return. You give more than you get, and you do it because you want to. So, if it gives you pleasure to develop new accessories for your club, to make it cooler and more visible... DONATE
